All seems to work OK, and colours look pretty close to my desktop Eizo monitor. I set the display brightness to 30% which gives a brightness of around 120cd/m2, about right for a laptop I reckon. gamma 2.17 Contrast ratio 806:1 White chromaticity coordinates 0.3126, 0.3284 White Correlated Color Temperature 6514K, DE 2K to locus 4.3 White Correlated Daylight Temperature 6514K, DE 2K to locus 0.4 White Visual Color Temperature 6360K, DE 2K to locus 4. I suggest trying the colour munki display before swithcing to the i1 Display Pro. Argyll software (with the Displa圜al front end) should work with it too. If you have the Color munki display then it's the same hardware but slugged to make it slower, and for some reason xrite suppliers different, dumbed-down software. Here is what the Verification tool in Displa圜AL tells me after the monitor was calibrated using Displa圜AL, Spyder 4 Elite and Nvidia 1080 GPU. I have tried to calibrate it using multiple settings in Displa圜AL software but the results are always the same.

monitor is set to full range values (0-255) Screenshots of Displa圜AL settings. The white point seem to be wrong and the whole display looks very yellow. the monitor is connected to a separate display card (Blackmagic mini monitor 4k) which is not color managed by the OS.

I have an i1 Display Pro and use xrite's iProfiler software that comes with it. gamma is set to 2.2 on the monitor, and Ive set Displa圜AL to 2.2. The other review talks of banding and posterisation which I found in 2017. I see there's a new version in the Microsoft Store, but the only two reviews are 1 star, one of which says "the only reason I gave it 1 star is that I can't give it zero". I don't use Dell PremierColor, which (when I got the laptop in 2017) was a seriously flawed program that created inaccurate profiles that would not work with some colour-managed programs. I have a Dell and I've been able to calibrate/profile it successfully. This setting is for those of you already set the white point. Native will use the white point of the monitor.

D65 is the choice for most people working in photography and graphics. At the top are the standard CIE Daylight Illuminants.

Would I be better off to buy the xrite i1 pro and use the dell premier app or can I get it right with what I have. Step Three: Select the white point for your profile. I tried to use the dell premier app but it won’t work with the color munki. The colors are pretty out of sorts on this step, according to dispcal. I’ve tried to skip this step as well and that seems to be pretty close (comparing to known monitor) but I really need to get this as best as I can. My main question is-how do I set the colors in the “set white point step”? I’ve tried to adjust them with the sliders in the nvidia graphics card program but when I calibrate that way there is some weird banding issues afterwards. I’m using Dispcal with a color munki colorimeter. I’ve been trying to get it calibrated but am not having much luck. Hello! I recently purchased a Dell XPS 9560 with uhd wide gamut monitor.
